huffington post has made a list of Cate’s event dresses, take a look and tell us which one you liked best! you can vote here

If there’s one leading lady who doesn’t get as much red carpet fashion cred as she deserves, it’s Cate Blanchett. Her effortless, chameleon-esque style allows her to take risks, opting for daring silhouettes with stunning detailing. She’s not one to shy away from color or statement jewels, which we think is a winning combination.

Take a look at some of Cate’s red carpet ensembles over the years and let us know which ones you think are fab and which are flops.

Listen To The Chemical Brothers’ Soundtrack For ‘Hanna’

For anyone interested in Soundtrack , like myself :) – The Hanna soundtrack will be available for purchase on iTunes this Tuesday, while the film is due April 8.

The Chemical Brothers are getting into the celebrity-composer act, which has become increasingly popular thanks to high sales of Daft Punk’s awesome soundtrack for TRON: Legacy and Trent Reznor’s equally awesome, Oscar-winning score for The Social Network. Now the recent Grammy nominees have put the entire score for Hanna up on Myspace for fans to listen to — and, in addition to some appropriately moody cinematic stuff, there are also plenty of reminders that this was composed by guys who will be owning Coachella this year. Head over to Myspace for a listen or watch the Hanna trailer (featuring the track “Container Park”) below.

Blanchett will Bring UNCLE VANYA to Kennedy Center in August

Awesome news! – thanks Maria for the headups.

Sydney Theatre Company’s acclaimed production of Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov, adapted by Andrew Upton and directed by Tamás Ascher, will tour to the Kennedy Center in Washington, USA, with performances from 4 to 24 August 2011.

The entire original cast – John Bell, Cate Blanchett, Sandy Gore, Hayley McElhinney, Anthony Phelan, Richard Roxburgh, Andrew Tighe, Jacki Weaver and Hugo Weaving – will reprise their roles for the production which was a critical and box office triumph at Sydney Theatre in November and December 2010.

More than 47,300 people saw the play during its Sydney run with every performance completely sold out. The production received exceptional reviews, described as “gloriously fresh, funny and poignant” (John McCallum, The Australian), “a magnificently mounted and playful production” (Elissa Blake, Sun Herald) and “a triumph” (Alex Lalak, Daily Telegraph). “This enthralling production surprises and delights, and leaves you feeling profoundly moved” said Jo Litson in the Sunday Telegraph and “across the board the performances are exceptional” wrote Jason Blake in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Sydney Theatre Company’s last engagement at the Kennedy Center was in 2009 with A Streetcar Named Desire, which was subsequently awarded three prestigious Helen Hayes Awards including for Outstanding Non-Resident Production.
