Cate has won a 2010 Helen Hayes Award “Lead Actress Non-Resident Play” for her role in The Sydney Theatre Company production of A Streetcar Named Desire! Congratulations Cate! The play also took home awards for Best Non-Resident Play and for Robin McLeavy for Outstanding Supporting Performer, Non-Resident Production.

Last night Cate was in New York attending the BAM Belle Reve Gala where there was also a special performance of A Street Car Named Desire!  A Street Car is now showing on Broadway and Cate is getting rave reviews for her performance as Blanche! Not much to report really, Cate has returned to work on A Streetcar Named Desire, so I just thought I’d add these stills that we didn’t have! I have Charlotte Gray screen caps coming up, so keep checking back ;]

Various websites are reporting that Cate has been injured during a live performance of A Streetcar Named Desire. Apparently Cate was accidentally struck on the head by a prop radio held by Mr. Edgerton. If this turns out to be true, I hope Cate makes a speedy recovery, my thoughts are with her.
