The Sydney Morning Herald have posted a new article about Cate’s upcoming play, A Streetcar Named Desire. The article also contained a picture which has been added to the gallery.

“Robyn had mentioned years ago that she had the rights when we were talking about doing Hedda Gabler and I thought, ‘Oooh, no,’ ” says Blanchett. “And then I met Liv in London – and I’d been desperate to work with her – and we were talking about various projects for quite some time and then Andrew [Upton, co-artistic director at the STC] brought up Streetcar. Suddenly the temperature in the room changed.”

DVD screen captures of Cate’s role as Petal in The Shipping News (2001) have been added to the gallery. Really not one of my favorite films, but Petal was quite a different type of character for Cate to portray, I love that she’s so versatile and can tackle any type of role.

Yesterday Cate and Andrew attended the Audi LightHouse Launch in Sydney! Cate looks great in a black little wrap over dress!

I’ve added various production stills and posters from a number of Cates movies to the gallery. Nothing new, just things that we were missing =). I have a few more movies to cap like The Shipping News and Veronica Guerin so keep checking back for those! I’m also working on a video archive for the site ;].

DVD Screen Captures of Cates role as Irina Spalko in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull have been added to the gallery! Not my favorite role of Cates but she did excellent still.
